In this role, you will conduct field investigations and special studies for process/chemical design for large projects. You will lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of components and processes used in process/chemical for projects with unique requirements. Your coordination will ensure that complex technical issues are resolved, clients are satisfied, and project needs are met.

• Plans, develops, directs, and participates in the day-to-day Process/Chemical engineeringactivity on small to medium sized projects or a portion of a major project with minimal tomoderate complexity within a global business unit utilizing relevant EngineeringDepartment Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel StandardApplication Programs (BSAPs).
• Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of personnel assigned, estimatesstaffing needs and schedules and assigns work accordingly.
• Provides the technical input to meet procurement requirements.
• Prepares or oversees the preparation of Process/Chemical discipline estimates and work plans inaccordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and manages implementationand performance accordingly.
• Reviews and makes recommendations of the Process/Chemical engineering aspects of bidevaluations and awards for approval by project engineering.
• When directed, coordinates with client representatives to obtain their approval ofProcess/Chemical engineering aspects of the work.
• Reviews and approves key calculations, licensing evaluations, design documents,supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders, forthe project to which assigned.
• Ensures that assigned Process/Chemical engineering personnel receive appropriate on-the-jobtraining for their professional development.
• Assists in the preparation and reviews of project procedures and cost estimates forproposals, forecasts, and change orders.

Requires bachelor's or master'sdegree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19years of relevant work experience

• A recognizeddegree in Metallurgical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent froman accredited College or University.
• Demonstrated capability of Process EGS and Supervisor for hydrometallurgical process flowsheets for Feasibility study to EPCM execution.
• Broad commodities knowledge of processes for copper and gold flowsheets.
• Ability to work in multinational project team group.
• Knowledge of process systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computers in the discipline.
• Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods.
• Knowledge of precedents in the discipline and of principles and practices of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved.
• Knowledge of industry /regulatory codes and standards, and design and/or layout criteria pertinent to the particular discipline.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), Design Guides, appropriate Bechtel Standard Computer Applications (BSAPs) and administrative practices.
• Demonstrated skill in leadership.
• Knowledge of application and coordination of 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools on a project.
• Broad progressive work experience in design engineering, science or other relevant types of engineering such as systems startup, field engineering or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, process plants, or engineering/construction firms.
