Our client is a multinational Empresa specialized in AI-powered analytics and advanced data solutions, with presence in more than 45 countries worldwide. They are currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their team.

Mission:

As a Data Scientist within the Data Analytics team, you will support advanced marketing analytics and data science initiatives for a major retail client. Your mission is to develop robust quantitative models — including Marketing Mix Models and Bayesian approaches — to optimize marketing investments, improve ROI, and drive measurable business growth.

Main responsibilities/functions:

  • Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM):
    Develop, implement, and maintain media mix and marketing mix models to quantify the impact of marketing and advertising investments across channels.
  • Bayesian & Quantitative Modelling:
    Apply Bayesian statistics, hierarchical models, and causal inference techniques to uncover patterns and generate actionable insights for business decision-making.
  • Experimentation & Measurement:
    Design and evaluate experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, causal analysis) to measure the incremental impact of marketing activities at both macro and granular levels.
  • Machine Learning Applications:
    Build and utilize machine learning models for classification, regression, clustering, forecasting, and other predictive use cases supporting marketing performance.
  • Optimization & Simulation:
    Run simulations and optimization scenarios to guide budget alUbicación, investment strategies, and performance improvement.
  • Business Insight Translation:
    Translate complex analytical outputs into clear business recommendations, supporting growth, ROI optimization, and strategic marketing decisions.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    Prepare reports and presentations, communicating findings effectively to technical and business stakeholders in an international environment.

Key competencies:

  • Business & Marketing Statistics:
    Strong ability to apply statistical and econometric methods to real business and marketing performance problems.
  • Analytical Thinking:
    Advanced problem-solving skills with a strong theoretical foundation in mathematics and statistics.
  • Machine Learning & Modelling:
    Deep understanding of ML principles and hands-on experience with quantitative modelling techniques.
  • Programming Languages:
    Advanced proficiency in Python and/or R, with the ability to build scalable analytical pipelines.
  • Requirements Analysis:
    Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into structured analytical approaches.
  • Communication:
    Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex models to diverse stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6–10 years of experience in Marketing Mix Modelling, Bayesian modelling, retail media, digital media, marketing measurement, and site/search analytics.
  • Strong expertise in Bayesian statistics, hierarchical models, causal inference, and experimentation.
  • Proven experience translating analytical insights into measurable business impact (growth, ROI optimization, budget alUbicación).
  • Experience in the ad-tech and mar-tech industry, with a deep understanding of measurement across the full customer purchase funnel.
  • Hands-on experience building and operationalizing MMM and advanced marketing analytics models.
  • Industry experience in Retail, CPG, or Marketing Analytics is preferred but not strictly required.
  • Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken).
