University Hospital Monklands Consultant in Gastroenterology & General Medicine
University Hospital Monklands (UHM) is looking for a Consultant Gastroenterologist and General Medicine to join its existing team of Consultants and the wider multi‑disciplinary team.
The Gastroenterology team at UHM provides a range of specialist services, including outpatient clinics, elective and emergency endoscopy, and management of AUGIB patients carried out in the hospital’s well‑supported Endoscopy Suite.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic individuals who are keen to contribute to the ongoing development of Gastroenterology services at UHM. Sub‑specialty clinical interests are welcomed and supported.
It is an exciting time to join UHM with the Ubicación of a new hospital now identified. This will be Scotland’s Primero digital hospital, which will enhance the patient journey and staff experience through the use of available technologies. Clinical staff are encouraged to contribute to the development of clinical models supporting the planning of this new hospital.
Proposals for additional SPA time from applicants are encouraged. In addition to the one PA for Non‑DCC/SPA activities, the Board supports applications for additional SPA time from individuals with well‑developed ideas for improving services and who can demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement, patient safety (including human‑factors training), medical education, research & development, acting as an appraiser, etc. Applicants who wish to commence on more than one PA for SPA duties should discuss proposals with the Recruitment Lead and/or Service Manager, who will consider the request in line with the successful candidate’s professional and service requirements.
